Would You Stay at This Room with a View of Oslo?

At the very top of Oslo towers the new Holmenkollen Ski Jump, the world’s most modern ski jump. It is an imposing architectural monument of steel and concrete, and one of the first designer ski jumps ever to be built. And as of recently, the Ski Jump hooked up with Airbnb to offer you a rather quaint and unusual accommodation on your next visit to the capital of Scandi cool, Oslo.

Built in 1892, the ski jump has since been rebuilt 19 times in total. Holmenkollen is today one of the worlds most modern ski jumps. The apartment’s floor to ceiling windows give you one of the best views imaginable of Oslo, snow capped mountains and endless forest. The top floor of the striking glass-walled ski jump is temporarily being transformed into a strikingly stylish penthouse, equipped with all the comfort you should need and decorated with leading Norwegian interior design brands -as well as featuring breathtaking views.

This two interior designers Melissa Hegge and Nina Holst to transform the top of the Holmenkollen ski-jump in Norway into a spectacular glass-walled penthouse apartment. If you are a major ski fan, then you will probably recognize this interior: it is the room where the ski jumpers prepare for flight before their jump during competitions.

The last rebuild took place between 2008 and 2010, when the entire structure was demolished and rebuilt. The top floor of the striking glass-walled ski jump is temporarily being transformed into a strikingly stylish penthouse, equipped with all the comfort you should need and decorated with leading Norwegian interior design brands -as well as featuring breathtaking views. This must truly be a once in a lifetime experience, for someone who is not afraid of heights that is.
